This infill development of four homes is located in the vibrant and eclectic Woolen Mills neighborhood. These will be built in the modern vernacular style - using traditional forms and massing techniques, but incorporating modern spaces and detailing. We appreciate this style because it employs time-tested building methods that are both beautiful and functional – gabled roofs, clapboard siding, and front porches. But it also allows us to give the homes a contemporary feel – clean, simple lines, a varied palette of materials, an open, flexible floor plan, and a close relationship between the interior and exterior spaces.
Despite the down market, we are still tyring to make this our greenest project yet, incorporating many of our proven efficiencies as well as solar hot water and rain harvesting systems. We hope to break ground Summer of 2008.
